Reading Fee:

• We do not charge a reading fee for general submissions.

Accepted Formats and Lengths:

any work is accepted, but previously published material is not accepted

We consider previously unpublished:

• Short fiction and essays (up to 7,500 words)

• Flash fiction and essays (up to 3 pieces, up to 1,000 words each; please format and submit as a single document)

• Poetry (up to 6 poems; please format and submit as a single document)

• Plays (up to 30 pages double-spaced)

• Excerpts (up to 30 pages double-spaced) from larger works

• ART! Yes, for this issue, we accept art! please submit art related to the theme of dusk.

  • please provide clear, cropped images or photocopies, no blurriness allowed :)

Submission Methods:

• We only accept submissions by email at this time (email: the.metaphysical.review@gmail.com).

Revisions and Withdrawals:

• We do not accept revisions to submissions once the submission period is closed.

• Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please notify us immediately if the work is accepted elsewhere.

Response Times:

• Response times will vary, but we aim to respond to all submissions within a month. Feel free to query us at the.metaphysical.review@gmail.com after 1 month for an update.
